Glean was born from Founder & CEO Arvind Jain’s deep understanding of the challenges employees face in finding and understanding information at work. Seeing firsthand how fragmented knowledge and sprawling SaaS tools made it difficult to stay productive, he set out to build a better way - an AI-powered enterprise search platform that helps people quickly and intuitively access the information they need. Since then, Glean has evolved into the leading Work AI platform, combining enterprise-grade search, an AI assistant, and powerful application- and agent-building capabilities to fundamentally redefine how employees work.

Glean is establishing itself as the system of record for enterprise knowledge, solving one of the most persistent bottlenecks in modern work: information retrieval and actionability across fragmented SaaS systems. Starting with enterprise search and now expanding into agentic workflows, Glean connects to over 100 enterprise applications and enables employees to access, synthesize, and act on institutional knowledge securely and contextually. Built from the ground up with deep integration, fine-grained access controls, and retrieval augmented generation (RAG), Glean offers a solution tailored for large-scale, security-sensitive environments.

From 2022 to 2024, Glean scaled ARR more than 10x to reach $100 million, with a customer base that includes Databricks, Duolingo, Grammarly, and Plaid. Adoption has been driven by tangible productivity gains across functions, from engineering and GTM to HR and operations. The product’s foundation consists of a dynamic knowledge graph, personalized ranking, and enterprise-grade LLM orchestration, which together enable real-time, context-aware search and AI-powered task execution. CEO Arvind Jain, previously co-founder of Rubrik and a senior engineering leader at Google Search, has assembled a technical team with significant experience in search, security, and enterprise software. With enterprises now accelerating AI adoption across internal workflows, Glean is positioned as a core enabler of how knowledge work gets done.
